Analysis

After opting for health as opposed to the #1 seed, Miami comes in to this game as healthy as can be on their quest for a 3-peat. Miami wins virtually every matchup in this series, and is simply the more talented time. Health permitting, they should begin to flex their muscle and get back in to championship form. Credit the Bobcats for making it this far. A huge chunk of that credit goes to Coach Steve Clifford and the defensive system he’s implemented. Did you know the Bobcats allow the fewest points per game of any team not named Bulls or Pacers? They’ll need to be extra stingy to stay in this matchup. The only hope the Bobcats have is to continue riding Big Al Jefferson. The should-be All-NBA winner has been averaging over 25pts and 10reb per game since the All-Star game and prevented any second half lapse. Between Jefferson, their defense, and a starved home fan base that should be raucous, I like the Bobcats to win a game, but not much more than that.
